Last Friday I was at work thinking about how I had zero plans for the weekend and Merl jokingly suggested I should visit Chicago and so I decided, alright yes, I will visit despite skyrocketing gas prices. And it was totally worth it. It’s such an easy trip to make and something that’s well worth it in order to have so much fun with my favorite girls. I also did some shopping for trip to Austin this weekend for the Texas Style Council (hooray, can’t wait!) I hadn’t given much thought to what I’d wear until last weekend when I realized I didn’t have many warm weather options in my closet. After a quick trip to some vintage shops and Zara, I scored vertical stripe pants, a suede vest that Merl laughed at and an assortment of of colorful tops.
It wasn’t as warm as I thought it was to walk downtown in this light jacket, but I liked the combination of the different shades of brown leather. I’m usually too obsessive compulsive to mix so many browns and beiges, but I ended up liking it. And then I found twenty dollars.
