Windy City Visit

Sometimes I romanticize my trips back to Chicago thinking I’ll frolic from one friend’s place to another, facing no traffic or annoying pedestrians all whilst carrying the most upbeat, positive mood. Never. Happens. I get pissed at every driver on my way there and I have no patience. But the journey to visit Haley, Karrin, Merl and Karyn was worth it, as it always is and hanging out with them makes me forget the Chicago restaurant that didn’t inform me pickles came on the burger (and because I’m so dramatic, I was sure this would leave my day in complete ruins) and the extreme heat and humidity I wasn’t mentally and physically equipped to handle without constant air conditioning. Merl describes me as “fussy,” but I’m glad my friends accept me and my neurosis.
In other news, I styled a weather inappropriate outfit to wander the streets of Chicago and visit the Randolph Street Market. I really wanted to wear this pink jacket and so I styled it with a pair of cut off shorts, a loose white tee and a pair of leopard wedges which were eventually replaced with leopard print flats once the blisters appeared. At 26, my feet just aren’t what they used to be.
