I’m getting ready for a long weekend trip to Sarasota with Matt next week and I’ve already started my packing list! We’ll be hanging out with his aunt and uncle, shopping, eating and hopefully getting a trip to the beach! For those activities, my packing includes:
The Shoes
For this trip, I’m keeping it simple and packing 1-2 sandals and a pair of sneakers (either Golden Goose sneakers or these animal print P448 sneakers. Also love these P448 sneakers) I just bought the Sam Edelman studded sandals which are super comfortable with the tiniest block heel for a little lift.
For this trip, everything is super casual so heels which I normally hate anyways, have no place on this trip! All about comfort for the four days in Florida.
Clothing
I’m packing one dress from Target (either this ruffled maxi or this leopard dress), one pair of Agolde shorts, two graphic tees and a cropped yellow hoodie along with pajamas, a cardigan and a pair of leggings. Packing light because I try to only pack items I love and can easily mix and remix.
I’m also packing one swimsuit and a sarong for that beach day–and I’m taking the new aerie leopard bikini and an old sarong (similar black sarong.)
Accessories
This is the area where I have a hard time packing appropriately–I always want five sunglasses, four purses and other random accessories I won’t even bother taking out of the suitcase.
I’m limiting the sunglasses to two pair (these black vintage style sunnies and Rayban round sunglasses) and three bags (I can’t help myself.) One bag is always a tote for traveling with two bag options for the rest of the trip.
I pack my toiletries in a similar Lululemon pouch–comes in two sizes but this bigger one is best for travel. I also have a vintage Louis Vuitton trousse toiletry bag for cosmetics and that comes with me everywhere.
This Lack of Color straw hat will a game time decision if I want to bother with traveling with a hat like I did last year which was annoying but I did wear it the whole time. This hat is a much better price at $19 too.
Beachy Essentials
I’m packing SPF, body lotion, hand lotion, travel size fragrance and travel size facial spray. I’m of course packing my beauty and skincare essentials, but will be wearing less of everything since it will just melt off my face in the heat.
Of course, beauty will always include the It Cosmetics cc cream since it has 50 SPF (I mix a little moisturizer or face oil in so it’s not as heavy especially on vaca.)
This travel size trio of the bum bum jet set–my favorite body lotion, fragrance and (haven’t tried) body wash is available for just about the same price of just the mini lotion. I also use and love their SPF oil.
My favorite fragrance right now is Jo Malone pomegranate noir that I bought in a travel size before Christmas so I’ll be bringing that one with me.
