I packed pretty minimally per usual for a weeklong trip to Fort Lauderdale–just a carryon and backpack but was able to pack quite a bit that all mixed and matched. Given the weather swung from 60 to 80, I had some layers that I wore each day at some point and lots of basics. If you’re looking for ideas of what to pack as a neutral basics lover and don’t mind outfit repeating, read on:
What I Packed: Tops
An oversized linen top. I wear this just about everyday on weekends in the summer. I wore this buttoned up on its or layered over top this Black Toteme tank.
This was dumb, but I packed two white tees. I wore one for traveling and because I wear them so o often I wanted two to wear. And I wore them both quite a bit!
Coatigan. I love this layering piece. I didn’t want to wear a winter coat on the flight to Floriday so this paired with this cropped grey hoodie kept me toasty and I wore them on their own most days in the morning.
I packed a blazer which I thought I would wear more, but I did pair it with a white tee!
Lastly, I packed a Vuori cropped boxy tee that I wore to bed a lot and a couple days during the week layered under the coatigan or hoodie.
What I Packed: Bottoms
I packed one pair of jeans: these Agolde 90s pinch jeans. I ended up buying these Topshop barrel jeans that are so comfy and loose (went up a size.)
I also packed a pair of black wide leg linen pants, a pair of these new Agolde shorts, leggings and these Old Navy joggers I wore on the flight.
What I Packed: Shoes
I wore sneakers on the flight and a pair of ballet flats (Chanel ones) and Hermes oran sandals. The perfect trifecta for a mix of comfort, style and functionality. I also bought these socks!
Key Accessories
These Saint Laurent sunglasses were the only ones I packed since I love them and they look great with any outfit. I packed three bags: a Chanel WOC, Celine triomphe bag and Celine Ava bag.
