Following my tried and true formula, it’s all about basics layered with some interesting outerwear and accessories that are equally functional as they are statement-making. I went up north for the weekend to shop and relax in Traverse City with my mom and aunt and we also made stops for donuts and goat and donkey sightings at farm markets along the way.
The Outfits
The leather jacket outfit was for the Downtown Traverse City day and visiting a winery on Old Mission Peninsula. I wanted to look a little more elevated, but still be comfortable and warm. I wore Frame barrel jeans and Frankie Shop cropped sweater (similar vibe with this grey long sleeve top) paired with H&M cowboy boots, this cropped leather jacket and studded belt.
I also prefer mixing metals, wearing gold and silver jewelry along with mixing hardware on my belt, shoes and bag.
The second outfit I wanted to be super comfortable and a little funky, for my taste at least. These cropped Free People pants were worn in heavy rotation in the summer and wanted to transition them for fall styling, pairing them with light brown socks and my new Prada boots. I layered an oversized grey sweater and green quilted jacket both from H&M with a Khaite bag.
