When in doubt, there’s always an all black ensemble option to wear or elevated basics to pair together, and paired with new accessories, can give the look a fresh feel! I styled this look for work when I wasn’t sure what to wear but wanted classic and slightly dressed up (since it was the first time in the office in weeks!) Read on for these wardrobe staples and how I finished the look:
Wardrobe Staples
I have a lot of black clothing and accessories in my closet–and for good reason. They’re timeless, mix and match well with trendier and more colorful pieces. It makes dressing in a hurry easy too.
This Everlane blazer is my most worn blazer because it’s so well made and it’s in my favorite color. I have some other blazers in shades of grey and tan, but this black one is a go-to. I change up the tees and tanks I wear underneath and this one is a dark grey fitted tee with my Agolde black Riley jeans. These can so easily be dressed up and they’re so comfy. I love this James Perse tee as a base layer (have it in two colors) and absolutely love this fitted Skims tee!
I added sheer black socks, Chanel loafers and this mini SAINT LAURENT bag for a little pop of neutral color. Since I’m short, I like the idea of wear black pants, socks and loafers to give the illusion my legs are longer. I could easily trade out the loafers for a cool pair of sneakers or even a pair of heels.
