There is nothing I love more than an easy shift dress when it’s cool enough to sport long sleeves and warm enough to rock it bare legged. I styled it this first way shown for the Boutiques of Grand Rapids, a fashion show plus shopping event and Marie La Mode gifted me the dress to wear to the event.
Here are a couple ways to wear your shift dress this season!
Shift Dress Style #1
I styled it this first way with camel mules, a green leather moto jacket and a classic black bag, plus some delicate, gold jewelry! I could stand in these shoes all day, a prerequisite to attending an event where you’re running and standing around. I wore this, but ended up changing up the bag before the event since my friend Brooke wore her same bag and a black dress, and we looked too matchy-matchy! When your dress shines on its own, obviously a great way to style it is just on its own. I love the print and the sleeve and wanted it to shine on its own at the Boutiques of Grand Rapids event.
Shift Dress Style #2
Once the weather cools down a bit and I’m looking for ways to remix this dress for ease, a cream fringe sweater is all it takes. I got this sweater from Elodie Boutique and layered so easily over the dress. And I paired with cozy wedge ankle boots, a pair I’m sure I’ll wear on repeat this fall.
A chunky cardigan would equally as cute over top of it, but since I’m more of an oversized sweater girl, I chose to get the sweater in medium/large size for extra coziness and I like that you just get a peek of the dress and looks more like a skirt here.
