Hawaiian Roots
Tapped into my Hawaiian roots with this top! My grandmother is Hawaiian/Filipino and growing up, my great Uncle Julian would visit Michigan with tropical, floral off-the-shoulder dresses and tops for us! Back then, I lived in my oversized Adidas tees and other tomboy gear, but I was INTO this shit. And still am!
Styling the Top
I spotted this top at 4th Street Boutique on my latest freelance photography project with Donna who owns the shop. She let me keep this piece and I had been patiently waiting for the weather to warm up a bit to wear out on the town. I styled with distressed jeans, a hobo bag and my go-to straw hat when my hair is a hot mess.

Who makes the top? The linked store doesn’t feature it. Thanks!

It’s by BB Dakota! You can leave the boutique a message on social media too and order that way!
