Since my style is pretty minimal, it’s easy to remix a look for an evening out from my work attire. Here’s how I styled an outfit for work to dinner with Rob!
Daytime Vibes
During the day, I wore the Skims black tee with a bandana scarf, Everlane cream pants, the Celine belt and black ballet flats. Not super dressy, but I could be seen out and about and look pulled together enough for the work day. It would be easy to further elevate this look with a cropped bomber jacket or oversized blazer for an event or client meetings.
This look is basically a mix of all my closet workhorses. I wear this Skims tee atleast once a week and I’ve had these flats for a week but have been wearing them nonstop. I did forget that I owned these Everlane pants, but they’ll be back in high rotation now that I’ve rediscovered them in my closet.
Evening Vibes
Rob and I went out for dinner and drinks right after work at Barrio. It increasingly got hot outside so I traded out the pants for Abercrombie denim shorts. I also changed out the black bag to this Celine bag for fun too, otherwise it’s the same look. It would be fun to switch up this look by adding this $30 Free People tube top or cropped striped tank with the pants too.
If you’re looking for a more grown up chic short, I highly recommend this high rise style from Abercrombie. I’m wearing size 26 and fits true to size. I’ve also eyed these Agolde shorts that are similar, but I have 1,000 Agolde pairs and wanted to save a few bucks.
