I usually waste my money on handbags and shoes, but lately, I’ve been buying and trying new skincare and beauty products. I’ve experienced quite a few duds, but here are six products I’ve bought in the last two months and use now everyday:
Ilia Multi Stick
The idea that one product could replace lipsticks and powder blushes (all that I know and understand) seemed like something I’d watch on QVC and roll my eyes at.
Multisticks I’ve tested out at beauty stores before never had the right consistency and if they did have it right for one area of the face, it definitely wouldn’t work for the others, but with this product I stand corrected. This thing is idiot proof and you just dab on the apples of your cheeks, then lips for a little color! And rub in! I’m wearing the color At Last, great everyday color.
Sephora Collection Brightening Eye Cream – Hydrate and De-puff
I’m aging by the minute and getting less sleep than ever with three dogs who wake me up at 6 a.m. (that’s EARLY for me!) I bought this eye brightening product because I wanted to incorporate an eye cream that was affordable and the hydrate and de-puff line sold me.
At just $16, the product is incredibly affordable and a little product goes a long way. I’ve been using it at night and in the morning. The real test came when I cried last week and put in on before bed and I didn’t look nearly as haggard and puffy in the morning.
Glossier Haloscope Highlighter
I love this highlighter! The product is infused with extracts and other moisturizing type shit that keeps your skin hydrated and dewy, while giving off a shimmery sheen that makes me feel young and hip. I used it on my cheek bone, along the bridge of my nose and on my brow bone.
Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask
Alright so this lip sleeping mask isn’t AS new of a product for me since I bought it a year ago in the berry complex and just replenished, but I now have it in vanilla. My lips are dry and peeling constantly, so I keep this product in my nightstand and apply before bed each night. It’s a fun little ritual that leaves me with soft, smooth lips by morning.
Shea Moisture Overnight Face Oil
This $9 product has pleasantly surprised me. I bought it during a Target run where I grab as much unnecessary shit as I can because I have no self control. These trips have wasted my money on shitty tasting gummy vitamins, overpriced mugs, you name it, but this product is a winner.
I smear this coconut face oil on my face morning and night because it’s that dry and I need it more than once a day. It’s the perfect base for my tinted moisturizer.
Caudalie Beauty Elixir (special edition rose)
I’ve used the Caudalie Beauty Elixir for over a year now, but I wanted to try the limited edition version in the travel size–and just like the original version, it’s refreshing and the perfect way to start my skincare routine morning and night.
