I’ve been anxiously awaiting the fall season with hopes of layering and retiring the upper lip sweat summer always brings me. I’m also excited to wear more hats, billowy dresses and boots, but read on for what I’m specifically into for fall:
Large Brim Hats & Beanies
I love wool hats year round, but they seem most appropriate in the fall with some layers and cool temps. Plus, I love to wear a beret and beanie once it gets cool enough!
My go-to hat brand is Lack of Color for wool hats and berets. And most I’ve bought from Retail Therapy in Old Town Lansing. For something very similar and priced super affordably, Urban Outfitters has a felt hat in three colors and just $44. Free People also has a similar hat to what I’m wearing at a more affordable price.
For beanies, Free People beanies are my favorite. They’re perfectly slouchy and comfortable. I also like this super chunky beanie for late fall and winter.
Long dresses, Long Cardigans and Dusters
I’ve spent the summer in easy dresses, denim shorts and no layers–it’s time to get back to long cardigans, jackets and dresses layered on top of each other.
I love this olive flowy duster! Style with jeans and a tee or layer over a a simple midi dress. For the perfect chunky cardigan, I recommend this Topshop cardigan (and it comes in many colors.) My favorite option though is this knitted unstructured coat, feels like a sweater but looks like a coat! I also love this camp-collar cardigan that comes in three colors. Mango has the best sweaters and jackets!
For the long dresses I’m digging, this dress by Free People tops the list. It’s bohemian and flowy! And this cable knit long dress is beautiful and would be perfect for fall with a pair of ankle boots.
All Kinds of Boots
My first boot purchase this fall will be these Sam Edelman studded combat boots. I’d love toughen up a pretty dress with these or wear them with jeans or leggings. The perfect everyday ankle boot? These boots in brown or black, I want them both! Plus this brand is incredibly comfortable.
For a flat boot, these boots are just $55! If you prefer a suede ankle boot, these boots are 60% off and they come in several colors. Magnolia Pearl dress and Lack of Color hat borrowed from Retail Therapy | jewelry by Katie Dean Jewelry
