I’ve been making small changes in my guest room converted closet to brighten and refresh the space. I’ve been in my house for three years now and desperately wanted to upgrade a few of the rooms, read on for a few tips for a quick and easy refresh:
Upgrade Your Mirror Accents
I love mirror wall decor, but a few of mine were old, slightly outdated or just not my style. I checked West Elm for some inspiration and compare similar products at more affordable sites like Wayfair and Overstock. And I found the new mirror above at Overstock!
I also love mirrors at Target. I love this gold round mirror and bought three of them for different rooms of the house. This mirror version is slightly more ornate with the beaded brass frame.
Change out the Rugs
Rugs can get so expensive, that I end up buying most of mine at RugsUSA. They always have great deals and free shipping. The most recent rug purchased is this 6 x 9 striped jute rug for my living room to add some more texture with this white faux cowhide rug I bought a couple years ago from Overstock.
For a washable version, I love this cream textured rug from Target. Super versatile, easy to wash and matches many home decor styles.
Rearrange what you already own
The easiest and cheapest approach to a little refresh is mixing up what you already have and own in the space. There are a few items in my home I retired or replaced and items that I moved from one room to another like a marble tray I had on display in my dining room. That tray is now in my bedroom on the dresser with perfumes.
I also move wall art around, swapping from one room to another along with tabletop decor that normally gets shuffled throughout the house to make a room feel fresh and updated. I also have seasonal throw blankets that I pull out depending on the time of the year that always makes my living room feel refreshed!

I feel like I’m always rearranging and tidying up! It’s nice because it refreshes things and I get to declutter in the process. Also, I love your home, it’s beautiful! ❤️✨
