Last month, I went on a hunt to find new comfortable underwear to replace the Victoria Secret underwear I’ve been wearing for years and years, but have been consistently disappointed by. I tested out four brands and ready to share a review of each starting with my favorite to least favorite.
To help you understand what I was looking for, I prefer a breathable thong and don’t usually shop for brief styles. And my body is more of a pear shape and I struggle to find something that doesn’t dig into my hips. Read on for my review:
Soma Underwear
I’ve heard great things about Soma for years, but I’m a cheap bitch when it comes to spending money on such little material. And now I get why they’re slightly pricier than some other brands I’ve tried. They fit so seamlessly and are incredibly comfortable plus pretty to boot.
I bought a set of three lace nylon thongs–they’re so pretty and didn’t think they would be as comfortable as they are by looking at them, but they’re my favorite of all the brands I tried.
Aerie Undies
Dozens of people told me to try Aerie underwear and so I ordered the 10 for $35 deal which is an incredible deal. I ordered different styles of thongs, mostly stretchy cotton and nylon lace, and found these to also be incredibly comfortable and stretchy, imagine that. These no show thongs are great too.
Live Free from Amazon
Live Free is a dupe for Hanky Panky which I hear is also a go-to underwear line. I bought a pack of six black thongs and they fit very much like the Victoria Secret cotton and lace thongs I typically would buy. They also fit well and are a great deal. They didn’t wow me, but they’re comfortable and affordable.
Auden from Target
I bought one pair of printed nylon thongs from the Auden line at Target and I very much disliked them. They ran small so the medium could hardly contain my muffin top. I would try more to test, but I disliked this nylon pair so much and found others that work best for me that I don’t think I’ll give the brand another try.
Many people recommended this line for me and they prefer briefs or other styles or fabrics and have different body types from me! I usually struggle with underwear that digs into my hips and these did exactly that.
