I’ve been holding off on mascara most days since late 2023 and I’m loving this more natural beauty trend because it’s easy and it’s all about letting our features shine more naturally. Here’s how I do it:
No Mascara + Full Natural Lashes
I’m skipping mascara most days and opting to continue tinting my naturally light lashes so I still get some definition but without the hassle or mascara smears that always end up on my face, especially in the summer. I get my lashes tinted every 4-5 weeks and curl them. If I do wear mascara, it’s the lightest barely there application to help the lash curl hold.
To give my natural lash a boost, I started using lash growth serum again. I apply every other night.
Let Blush Do the Work
I’m mostly skipping traditional contour and use blush to highlight my cheeks and have been using cream blush as a light contour when needed as well with a light touch on my forehead and nose.
My favorite blushes? Where do I start! Merit in Stockholm or Pixie on the glow blush when I want a super soft baby pink! I also bought the Rhode blush in piggy and wow, this is easily my new favorite formula and need more colors.
I also love Westman Atelier baby cheeks blush in petal or chouchette. Chouchette is a barely there nude peach and petal is a dusty nude rose. These blend flawlessly and lately I’ve been pairing this in petal and apply Pixie at the top of my cheek bone. Love this combo!
I’ve been wearing the Milk blush in quickie (a deep berry tone) that’s buildable and using it on my lips too. It looks a little intimidating when I’m used to rosy or pink tones, but I find this super flattering and love the touch of color it gives my lips as well.
Bisou blush stick is also a fave of mine!
I typically layer a powder blush on top, using Kylie Cosmetics blush in winter kissed or NARS blush in orgasm.
