Straightening my hair was something I used to be willing to spend hours on during my high school and college years. Then I got lazy. It just took so long and I tried several straightening irons, but they never lived up to the hype.
And then I tried the Jose Eber flat iron and blow dryer. Like magic, the Jose Eber tools were able to dry and smooth out my hair in under 45 minutes. For someone who doesn’t like to fuss too much over hair, it was a worthy investment of time.
To prep my hair, I used Ouidad’s cleansing oil and deep conditioner and used only the mongo oil and serum to help with the frizz. I let my hair air dry for about 30 minutes before sectioning out my hair to blow dry and straighten.
I typically use clips and a hair tie to help separate my hair. And I just work my way around my head, dividing my hair sections to blow dry more and straighten.
I touch up the ends and usually underneath where a couple curls escape. Then I run a little more serum through the dry ends of my hair and voila, straight hair!

I don't have as much hair as you, but I do have quite a bit and it takes me about an hour-and-a-half to straighten it, so naturally, it rarely gets totally straightened. (I have hair that is wavy when newly washed, and can be slightly curly if manipulated with hairspray…gets straighter the "dirtier" it gets, though.)

I have been struggling with flat iron woes for YEARS! I've invested and bought (what I thought was) top of the line irons, but it still takes me close to two hours to blowdry, flat iron, and then curl the ends of my hair! Who has that time?? My hair has to be nice and evil and be composed of parts that are really curly, parts that are wavy and parts that are straight… and I'm about the worst at trying to style my hair so I usually end up straightening it. I hate taking a long time to do my hair and would love a better quality straightener to speed up the process.

I use to show up to work looking great–hair and face all done, nice working clothes. now two years later, that happens like 2 days out of the five day work week!
it's hard to choose the 20 years it takes to blow dry & fix my hair for work when that time could be spent getting a little extra shut eye!
