Holiday Weekend
My weekend was almost completely unplanned–so unlike me. And with the unplanned days, we made a spontaneous trip to West Michigan to enjoy a beach day. We didn’t check the weather and we ended up getting rained on, but Cole was able to take a quick dip into Lake Michigan at Pere Marquette and jet over to Grand Haven for lunch on a rooftop.
We also kayaked down the Rogue River with my parents–my third kayaking adventure and this was definitely the most intense kayaking trip I’ve experienced. Think fast currents and giant rocks! Much different from my first two trips on super slow rivers.
Unplanned trips are always the best – they’re so unlike me too, but they always turn out to be the best adventures. Your beautiful photos are proof of that! ๐
