Being short doesn’t have much perks, but it has blessed me with the ability to wear any romper without worry of camel toe. Blessed.
Why I Love Rompers
And if you’re afraid to try a romper, let’s talk about styling them. I personally love them because generally, if you’re choosing to wear basically an adult onesie, it’s hot enough to not care and only want to throw on one article of clothing. So based on practicality, they don’t require much styling or accessorizing and most rompers like this one have enough fun details to make up for less everywhere else.
My Fave Rompers + Matching Sets
There are just so many rompers, jumpers and matching sets (can look like rompers without the bathroom hassle!) that I love. Like this floral midi romper–I love the price and how it looks like a dress from the back (and no worry of booty hanging out!) This floral romper from Target is priced right and is one of my favorite kinds–loose fitting, easy and effortless and probably easy to take on and off.
And obvi, I love the romper I’m wearing, which I scooped up from Marie La Mode in Grand Rapids once I saw it on their insta! Since I’m on such a roll with gingham, I also love this off the shoulder gingham jumpsuit. And lastly, I’m loving this pink floral romper, so cute for the beach!
Obsessed with matching sets like this House of Harlow top and pant combo with bold stripes! It’s a little pricier, but so so cute. I like the smaller sliver of skin shown, not too much–I’m too old for that shit now. I just bought this pajama-like set top and striped pant that you can tuck in and make look like a jumpsuit and add heels or wear more relaxed with no tuck!
Keep them Easy and Effortless!
I’m not a big fan of styling rompers with heels or anything over-the-top. I prefer to style them with comfortable wedges or sandals. Rompers and jumpsuits are kind of extra on their own and don’t need a cray shoe.
Like these espadrilles look super comfortable and can add a little pop of color if desired! Or these leather slide sandals would be easy to slip on and style with almost anything. I also love Superga sneakers, especially the platforms, but they classic versions and more trendy styles too.

I love wearing rompers in summer! They’re like one-piece or top and bottom sets. No thinking required, and can be dressed up or down! 🙂
