The weather this weekend was incredible and reminiscent of fall–cooler temps, a little breeze and a reason to wear a sweatshirt or jeans, my favorite things to wear.
Transitional Pieces to Style Now into Fall
August and September are always a strange time for me and my closet. One day I’m wearing a romper with sandals and the next, it’s a knit sweater, wide leg pants and ankle booties. I’m currently shopping for a few tops, bottoms (and shoes!) that work well now into fall and beyond.
Tops!
The top I’m wearing from Elodie Boutique is the perfect transitional shirt and so is this H&M embroidered blouse. Love wearing white year round!
I love the front tie top trend and this version from Target with a short sleeve could work any season–and I love the three color options. I also love the front tie tee from Madewell–I want it in grey and pink!
I’ve been eyeing this ribbed pullover by Free People and it’s just a matter of which color I choose to get. This would be so cozy with shorts, leggings or high waist pants.
Bottoms!
I love a denim pull on crop pant–I have a pair of these already and wear them year round. Currently wearing them with tied up tees and sandals!
I’m obsessed with these high waist crop wide leg pants that come in olive and camel, so perfect to style on a warmer or cooler day. (and a great deal to snag during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale!)
I’ve shared these Target crop pants before but they’re on CLEARANCE and now just $19. I’m considering buying more one size down and just having extras, love them so much. I have them in white and green and wear them on repeat!
Maxi skirts are my go-to for comfortable, effortless style and this printed wrap skirt could be styled a million ways.

I’m going to miss the summer weather so much – but I also can’t wait for fall fashion! It’s my favourite season when it comes to dressing up! 🙂

I’m not sure if I’m ready for fall yet, but I am ready to get away from this heat!
