Dress It Up
I’m most comfortable in a pair of ripped jeans and anything leather and I stretched outside my comfort zone to wear this beautifully flattering shift dress and matching cropped jacket. I feel like this would be something Michelle Obama would rock the shit out of..and I want to be like Michelle Obama.
Where I Wore It
I had two big occasions that require a special dress–my friend Katherine’s wedding rehearsal and rehearsal dinner two weeks ago and a real fancy ass fashion fundraiser in Grand Rapids. But, unfortunately I couldn’t make it out to Couture for a Cure because of my work schedule, so I just wore it to work on a day packed with meetings. Not where I envisioned myself wearing it, but this will be my go-to dress for more polished, fancy occasions.
The Look
I added classic pumps and a small vintage Chanel bag..and of course fresh color and blowout by Michelle at the Standard, which really pulled the whole look together for my friend’s wedding rehearsal. I styled it for work with a large black tote and ankle strap black pump.
