A visit to Chicago last weekend meant not only seeing my local loves, but the sassiest visiting foreigner, Yen of My Edit. The two of us stayed at Merl’s and I was the annoying one on Saturday morning forcing them to get ready quickly to head to the beach while they nursed their hangovers (of course, this old woman stayed back while Merl and Yen went dancing Friday night.) Merl, Yen, Lora and my bestie Courtney spent Saturday at Hollywood Beach where we got our fill of both gay men in their tiny little swimsuits and margaritas.
We headed to Bar Deville that night, the place that sucks out my life force and after dancing to a couple songs  and reading the chalkboard behind the DJ reading “NO REQUESTS. NO ROBIN THICKE” No Robin Thicke? Bitch, please. I left, grabbed  MacDonald’s and fell asleep with one of Merl’s cats, which is actually a pretty typical bar night in Chicago for myself. As Merl says, I’m 27 going on 82.

I wore a variation of this outfit out to the bar on Saturday, realized I severely underpacked and wore this on Sunday for some quick shopping downtown before I headed back home.
