Out with the Old, in with the New
Last August, I bought a 1993 Ford Tioga with dreams of traveling the countryside. But then reality set in–not enough time for weeks of road trips and driving a big 26 year old motorhome made me nervous. But I still loved camping this past year and having my own little home on wheels to take on adventures. So once I sold it last month, I started research on a travel trailer, something I could haul and drop off at a camp site, and something newer. And I’m now the proud owner of a 2018 Salem Cruise Lite!
Salem Cruise Lite
The new 24 foot travel trailer comes with luxuries like a queen size bed, a cozy leather couch that turns into a bed and a large dining booth which is a must-have for me with campers. I love sitting at the booth! It also has a remote control awning, LED lights outside, plenty of storage and a larger refrigerator/freezer combo, and a flat screen TV with an antenna! I also love the flooring and double sinks in kitchen area! Scroll to bottom of post for a few indoor pictures.
Camping this Fall
James and I spent the night in the camper in my parents’ backyard last weekend. I imagine I’ll do a lot of yard camping so I can visit family and be near the water during summer and even fall. James loves visiting Grandma and running around in their backyard and watching the squirrels from the deck. It’s a little vacation for both of us when I make trips back home.
But I also want to take this thing out at campgrounds throughout the state! I’m currently planning a camping trip now with a couple friends for end of September, getting one last camping weekend in before it’s too cold. Can’t wait for Matt to see the new RV in person and take Roxy and Ruby on a camping adventure soon.
