After 2.5 years, I’m ready to update the closet room. I kept it simple and budget-friendly, a clean slate for my clothes, bags, shoes and accessories. But now I’m ready to upgrade a couple pieces of furniture, declutter and organize.
First step? I’m currently working on removing anything from the room I’m not using regularly. And I’ve started with cosmetics and skincare products–namely tackling the vanity. I’ve ordered a new desk and mirror to replace the current vanity situation and can’t wait to share these little updates with y’all soon!
Declutter Goals of 2019
My goal now through the beginning of the New Year is to streamline all products in my closets and drawers. Anything I’m not using needs to go! Sometimes I feel like a hoarder or one of those couponers who proudly displays all of their extra shit they don’t need. When I get free products, I love to keep it all and have it on hand when someone needs something like I’m their personal retail store. But I need to get rid of it all! I usually divide it up and select items for friends and family since it helps to let things go when I know someone else will use it.
I’m also hoping to spend more time to resell items through Poshmark and luxury consignment sites for a few of my bags. I have some great pieces that I don’t use and I’d love to sell and use that money towards a new bag I’ll use more.
Closet Decor
So I’ll be replacing the vanity and mirror and next I hope to replace some of the cubbies with something higher quality. I bought a new shelf from Ikea, but not even sure if that’s the right fit, so lots of trial and error!
