This sweater + leather leggings combo was worn for the 9th Annual Couture for a Cure in Grand Rapids at the Van Andel Institute last week. In retrospect, I should have worn a cocktail dress, but unfamiliar with the event, I wanted to go for comfort with high end accessories like the Louboutins and vintage Chanel bag.
When I arrived, I noticed many women in beautifully tailored cocktail dresses with fun details like fur cap sleeves (still dying over that one) and amazing handbags. I was an observer in a room filled of impeccably styled men and women, it was my mecca. The event included a runway show and personal stories of children with rare diseases who will directly benefit from the event’s profits. I’ll share more photos from the actual event on Friday, but it was a really a great event.
