Here are a few looks I style and/or wore recently–all a little outside my t-shirt comfort zone, but that look won’t fly at a wedding!
Maxi Dress Style
The eyelet dress above is my kind of silhouette. I love a fluffy sleeve since I’m pear shaped and it balances me out. It is a little low cut then I’d care for but since I’m covered up everywhere else it also seemed like a good balance. I paired the dress with these slingbacks!
If you like color, and beautifully bold maxi dresses, shop some cute ones by Farm Rio.
Also love the English Factory ruffle sleeve maxi dresses (love it in pink and the floral print!)
This black maxi dress from Target is all kinds of comfy and add a heel and some jewelry–and voila, dressed up for a summer event.
Mix and Match Separates
I couldn’t make up my mind before a recent wedding thinking the weather would be warmer so I opted for a more classic vibe: an off the shoulder $10 top paired with an older leopard print skirt (which Banana has a super similar one on sale 50% off!) That off the shoulder top also comes in cream and white and the perfect piece to mix and match with other dresses or even tucked into jeans.
Just discovered this WSLY brand and they have a one shoulder tank that’s so on trend right now.
This $6 black tank would be cute tucked into a skirt as well, comes in many colors.
Another cute leopard midi skirt with a side slit!
Shoewise, I chose a pair of black So Kate Chrisian Louboutin heels that I’ve owned 10+ years. I also could see the Anine Bing Cade sandals looking so chic and timeless with this look too.
Rompers and Jumpsuits
I love a romper–they’re versatile, easy to dress up or down and perfect for a more casual wedding. The romper I’m wearing below is super affordable and fits true to size. I styled them with these white slingbacks.
If you like a pop of color, this yellow ruffle long sleeve romper is so cute.
A classic black jumpsuit to wear for years!
LOVE this floral print romper!
Especially love this red jumpsuit, just $48! This off-the-shoulder one too!
