For an afternoon of shopping local in Lansing’s historic old town, I put real jeans on, a cute top layered with an oversized leather jacket, loafers and a grey beret. Very simple look, was too lazy to even add jewelry, but I felt put together.

I styled this outfit mainly around the Gigi Pip beret–what could I wear that would look cute topped off with a beret? The answer was easy: casual black/leather look (my go-to.) Just found $10 berets, and they come in all the colors (going to order black for myself.)
For leather jackets, I love an oversized, longer silhouette. Mine is just about sold out sadly, but plenty of others to shop that are similar. The perfect jean for me is one with some stretch that marries my love of a skinny jean with today’s straight leg trend. These Levi’s fit true to size, great length for a short person and easily my most worst pair of denim. I also stand by this pair of Levis, more of a true straight leg!
