I was super pumped for a quick trip to Chicago last weekend to check out Merl’s new studio for Clyde’s Rebirth (and for Sit Kip Productions) and attend the very first custom essential oils fragrance workshop. I feel like I have a lot on my plate right now, which of course, is my own fault. Grad school is tedious, planning my ten year reunion is frustrating and exhausting and I’m feeling more cynical and quick-tempered than I normally am. I needed to feel re-energized and visiting my creative friends in Chicago make feel happy. Really happy. The workshop was absolutely amazing and Jenny of the Collective who led the workshop was genuine and really knew her shit when it came to essential oils. I also got to see Karyn’s new store, Market Supply, just down the road from Merl’s studio. Just a lot of inspiration in a short amount of time.
For a too-early-for-merl breakfast with Merl and the drive back to my hometown to visit my mom, I packed myself a Canadian Tuxedo, naturally. I paired it with a hat to hide my hair and a pair of clogs. Real simple and real comfortable.
