Lately, all I’ve been wearing this patchwork oversized top or a black midi dress. One or the other, I swear. I’ve styled this top with shorts, leggings, you name it in the last week of having it in my possession! My friend Brooke got it from Elodie Boutique so naturally I had to order the last size they had available.
Summer Bohemian
For some reason, this season brings out my inner boho in full force. Easy, flowy layers..and of course, the hat. What’s your go-to style during the summer?
For this particular outing, I styled the top with these lightly distressed jeans, my favorite pair of platform oxfords with perforated leather, a big ol’ hat and round sunnies. This look was perfect for a trip to the donut shop in Muskegon. I don’t have much going on in life besides fostering dogs, so I take these short, relatively mundane trips seriously.
This Weekend!
I should be packing for my weekend adventure to Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, but I’m so behind on life. I took on a second foster dog and still need to clean my house before my intern heads over to dogsit. I feel like I need a week to clean and prepare myself mentally for a weekend away.
Anyways, I’m headed up north with my parents with the first stop in Mackinaw City, a day trip to Mackinac Island and then heading across the bridge on Saturday morning to visit Tahquamenon Falls, Pictured Rocks and stay two nights in Marquette to visit friend and fellow blogger Sam who I miss so so much. I’ll be sharing lots of photos and stories over on my Instagram, so follow along if you’re not yet!

Love the outfit! My dad grew up in the UP (Marquette), and I’ve been there once, when I was about 4. LOL. I’ve heard it’s just BEAUTIFUL, though, from both my dad’s family and pretty much everyone else I mention it to. I love listening to my dad’s stories, too – Michigan just sounds like this amazing outdoorsy beautiful playground. Needless to say, I’m dying to go back as an adult. I can’t wait to see your photos and live vicariously through you!
