My go to winter look when I’m not wearing sweats? A light monochromatic base layer with black loafers and a statement jacket. I’ve been pairing light cream jeans with white tees or cream pants with a cream sweater balanced with edgy details. Read on for a few of my fave picks to recreate the look:

This winter faux fur shacket style is from Retail Therapy, but I love this Banana Republic plaid find too. This faux shearling coat is another solid option.
Absolutely love this black and white checked coat.
For cream pants or jeans, I love these sale Old Navy jeans, these Target denim finds and these DL1961 jeans that I own and love! And these tapered cream pants on major sale at J Crew!
This Target cream sweater is almost identical to what I’m wearing and is so versatile. Just $25! This Old Navy sweater is more of a tunic, a little longer and another versatile piece to have in your closet–and style with light jeans.
I’m wearing these Prada loafers and while they’re expensive, the cost per wear has to be pretty low by now already. They’re so comfortable and cool. These Steve Madden loafers are a fraction of the price but sizes are going fast. These very similar Steve Madden loafers are available in all sizes, plus have some cool color combos if you want something a little more bold. With these, I add these $4 mesh socks or even regular athletic socks as seen here since I’m cold (I usually hate socks) but I do like the look of them with loafers.
I also love topping off a winter look with a beanie. I plan to buy one of these Last beanies (love it in brown and the pretty pink tone!) and I always wear my Carhartt beanies and this camel Mackage beanie, super classic! And this Jenni Kayne cashmere one!
