My skin has never been as dry as it’s been this winter. And so I’ve upped my dry skin beauty and skincare routine to include a few new products my previously acne prone skin never thought I’d need.
Read on for my updated skincare routine this winter and top performing products:
Cleansers
KPS Essentials cleansing oil and brightening cream cleanser are a wonderful combination to remove all makeup and dirt from skin, leaving my skin feeling clean without being dry. I also love Evan Healy rose cleansing milk. If I’m in a rush, I typically just use Evan Healy (like right after a workout before I head to the office) and at night, I use the KPS combo and think of it as a relaxing ritual.
And after the shower or in the morning, the first thing I spritz on is Claudalie beauty elixir. It’s refreshing and feels so nice on my dry skin.
Moisturizers
There are a few moisturizers that have worked well for me and in different capacities. KPS Essentials renu cream has been the product that has helped with so many of my skin issues and is the one product out of everything I use that I know I’ll use for a lifetime no matter how my skin changes.
I also use the Hydralux primer lotion in the mornings before make up for extra hydration. The It Cosmetics Confidence in a Cream is also a good one to layer on before make up–or I mix it in with my foundation for a more sheer coverage.
I also heard great things about Drunk Elephant’s Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil and picked up a sample from Sephora. LOVE it. I just bought a full size bottle that I believe will a lifesaving product this winter when my skin is the driest.
Beauty
I typically use It Cosmetics CC cream during spring and summer because of the SPF and great coverage, but in the winter, my skin isn’t seeing much of the sun in Michigan and I need more moisture than anything else. Laura Mercier is my favorite tinted moisturizer. For concealer, YSL touche รฉclat has worked perfectly. No flakiness!
And no matte lipstick for me–I prefer Charlotte Tilbury’s nude/rosy lipsticks or Bobbi Brown’s crushed lip color feels like a balm with great color. I have it in lilac and telluride. And lately, I’ve gotten into Lipstick Queen’s nude lipsticks that feel hydrating, especially color hanky panky!

Yes! You got a sample! That marula oil is SO freaking luxurious. And I’ve been wanting to try Charlotte Tilbury Bond Girl lipstick- maybe I’ll bite the bullet during the next Sephora sale.
