My Shoe Wish List this Holiday Season

The Athleisure Shoe

Shoes are the best gift to give. It’s what my nieces, my mom (and I) want almost every holiday season, especially sneakers and cozy ankle boots. Each year, I shop Kohl’s for shoes since they carry the brand my family and I love and I score some deals and steals.

My New Balance shoe collection fit my everyday lifestyle and my workout life. I spend more than half my time in sneakers and I love how streamlined the New Balance Fresh Foam Sport sneaker is—and how comfortable they are. I styled the sneakers here in a pretty typical weekend look with black legging, a front tie top and a leather jacket, a little off-duty look!

I’m a sucker for a black sneaker as it blends seamlessly with my black leggings, but my nieces love a pop of color like the earth red (pink) hue. What I love about these New Balance shoes is that they can be worn outside of the gym and I’m thinking I’ll save this pair from the destruction of the gym and keep them fresh for styling athleisure looks and long dog walks with James.

The Everyday Ankle Boot

I love ankle boots year round, but they just feel right with the cold weather and eventual snow. I’ve started to pay attention to not only what the ankle boots look like, but how they actually fit and feel. With the hours I spend on my feet, I need them to hold up and keep me comfortable. The bootie is the perfect everyday shoe and something to add to my shopping basket, not just for me, but my mom!

I styled these boots with cropped denim, a sweatshirt tunic and tan shearling jacket—a look I’m sure to repeat the rest of fall and winter for a day of shopping or freelance work out and about town, but they’re versatile and could easily be styled up for office attire too.
