First things first, I’ve been feeling like a million bucks this past week all due to all my “make me pretty” appointments coming in close together. There are just some things I like to do that put a little pep into my step, especially during the summer.
KPS Essentials Slimsage Treatment
I’ve been using KPS Essentials since Feb. 7 (my birthday, easy to remember!) and it’s been the best product line my skin has ever experienced. I use the cleanser, toner, vitamin c lotion, moisturizer, eye cream and more. I use it all, I love it all, year round.
Natalie, the co-owner of the line, invited me to try the slimsage treatment by Ashley at Coiffeteria Salon in Grand Rapids. Ashley had me lay down and she dry brushed my stomach, massaged it and applied a concoction of natural ingredients that acted as a mask and I was wrapped in a cozy cocoon of layers while she gave me a scalp massage. After she removed the mask, she applied the Renu Body Sculptor, a product that visibly reduces cellulite. Ashley described the treatment like the organic version of CoolSculpt and I just love how these natural ingredients work to make me feel and look great.
It was a wonderfully relaxing spa treatment and the treatment helps aid in skin hydration, fat cell breakdown and providing a smooth experience. I measured an inch smaller in the waist after and my stomach skin looked so much smoother.
This treatment lit a fire under my butt to be a bit healthier. I’ve been making a bigger effort to drink more water, eat actual MEALS instead of snacking on chips every hour (it’s been a stressful summer and I lost my way) and be a little more intentional and present during my workouts. It’s been a week and I feel no bloat, more energy and slowly feeling stronger!
Lash Extensions are Back!
You might recall I talked about a severe allergic reaction to lash extensions in May and I had to quit ’em cold turkey. When you’re used to magnificent lashes for two years, it was the hardest thing to say goodbye to. I gave myself a few months off and visited Kelsey at Divinity Design Studio for a full set and this time, my eyes aren’t having much of a reaction. My eyes are definitely still sensitive to it, so I’m going to see how the next couple days go! They look fab though. You’ll see them throughout the photos!
Airbrush Spray Tan
Every two weeks this summer, I have a spray tan scheduled where Kalyn of K+K Airbrush Tanning visits my home and sets up shop in my living room to transform me from pale to naturally sunkissed. I’ve recently transitioned to a new formula with a purple undertone I think it is and it’s a rapid formula so I feel like it somehow looks even better and I can rinse off after 2.5 hours instead of 8. With the spray tan and lashes, I’ve been going make up free and it’s delightful.
Laser Hair Removal
I had my third appointment for laser hair removal with my arm pits at Milan Laser Hair Removal in Lansing. I’ve had so much success with hair loss so far–and I still have a couple treatments left! I’m thinking I’ll tackle my bikini line next! If you’re interested, you can mention my name or blog name for 60% off.
I also have a post in the works detailing every single treatment/procedure/body/hair maintenance I do just because I find it interesting to read what other people do! I’ll hopefully get this up soon since I started working on the post early this year…and still haven’t posted it. Whoops!
Tight Tank + Loose Cropped Pants
This tank + pants combo has been a summer outfit formula for me. I love the balance of a tight top and the loose cropped pants. The tank is from Elodie Boutique, a beautiful shop in Midland that I love and the cropped pants are the best Target purchase I’ve ever made (and they’re on clearance now!)
Also, the faux leather jacket is a great piece to add for that “third piece rule” and usually moto jackets are what I reach for. And this one I somehow got for free from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale sent to me even though I didn’t order it. YAS. It’s just $58 and comes in black or this pretty grey color!
