From Brazilian Blowouts to linen pants, here are all the necessities I have to survive and thrive during the summer months in Michigan. I don’t do the best in the heat, but these items help!
My heatwave necessities
First things first, a Brazilian blowout, a treatment that smooths hair, at the start of summer ensures low maintenance hair that’s impervious to humidity. Can’t live without these! I also love the WOW anti-frizz treatment is another great product I use between treatments that helps combat frizz on hot humid days.
An oversized linen button down top is a summer staple. I have two, one that I primarily wear as a beach cover up and one that I wear pretty much everywhere else. This J Crew linen top is similar to what I have! This Amazon version is another great option. This H&M one in tan is super cute.
Linen pants is another must-have in my closet. I have this Amazon wide leg pair that I wore all over Europe. I also want these Z Supply pants. And I have these linen blend shorts which I love!
This black hair clip is what I’m wearing above. I keep it in my beach bag and end up using it every time when I get sweaty in the sun.
I tend to reach for composite sunglasses that can’t get stuck in my hair like these Amazon sunglasses that remind me of Celine. These retro sunnies too!
Alastin face sunscreen has become an instant favorite once I tried it for the first time on my wedding day. Following that weekend, I bought two bottles. It feels like a primer and haven’t gotten a sunburn on my face all summer.
This Donna Karan deodorant keeps me fresh. And smells amazing.
