I stepped slightly outside of my super skinny black jean comfort zone and have found a few styles that I love in lighter denim washes, varying silhouettes and styles. Read on!
Denim Styles & Trends to Style
Denim is an everyday staple and there are quite a few fun trends to kick off 2020 with from vintage-style denim, distressed, boyfriend style and of course, varying versions of the skinny jean.
These Agolde high rise jeans appear to be that straight leg rigid denim, but feels soft and super stretchy. And another pair of slim high rise jeans with some stretch! I love the look of these and how they fit–they’re comfortable and love the silhouette and style.
I’m also a fan of the slim boy jean at Madewell. It fits straight through the hip and thighs. And the same style in a slightly darker wash. This black straight, but slightly wide leg jean could be styled a million ways.
Vintage jean styles are hot still like these Vintage style Levi’s, cropped, distressed and no stretch. I own these and love them no matter how uncomfortable. Another non-stretch pair of black jeans by Levi’s in a skinny jean.
And obviously I still love skinny jeans like this distressed pair for under $30. Another great pair of skinny jeans are these skinny Good American jeans with some distressing. They fit amazing on so many body types.
