Baggy tunic, slouchy jeans, an oversized hat and touches of leather–all I need for a stylish fall. I wore this look last Saturday, with some variations throughout the day as I shot client photos (remove hat, add flat mules, add camera backpack!)
I’m so excited for fall and those cooler temps, but this week looks like another, hotter, humid week. Plus, I’m taking off to Myrtle Beach this weekend with Ashley of Fit Mitten Kitchen (I’m her hired photog for her trip!) I’m thinking I’ll pack this top with denim shorts, but read on for more details on the outfit:
The Jeans
I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect cropped, distressed denim. Something slouchy, but not too mom-jeans-y and not too long on these short legs! And I found them: these Levi’s 501 crop jeans. They’re $98 plus free shipping. I ordered these up one size in a 28 and they fit perfectly. I also really like these similar pair of jeans in black and less distressing. Oh and these Levi’s skinny jeans in 100 percent cotton.
Oversized Tunics
I’m the number one fan of oversized tunics and I snatched this one up quickly from Retail Therapy late last week. To shop similar Magnolia Pearl tops without graphics, Free People is selling it in dark grey and cream, and now I so desperately want the grey.
For something more minimal and everyday, I love this tee tunic with side slits in black by Eileen Fisher. Style with leggings and ankle boots! Or this long-sleeved Free People tunic for more casual weekend brunches. And I love this short-sleeved version on sale for $19 (and comes in other colors, I love grey!)
The Perfect Hat for Fall
I love a wool or felt hat for fall, especially these wide brimmed hats by Lack of Color. If you’re in the Lansing area, Retail Therapy just got in a new shipment of them or you can shop online here. The rancher and benson hat styles are a few of my favorite. I wear size small (they run big and I normally have to get a bigger size for all my hair, but in Lack of Color.)
