It was colder than I would’ve liked for a spring visit to Chicago to see Merl, shop her store the SHUDIO and see her beautiful new home in person. It was a quick two-night trip and I packed a lot of basics to mix and match. Read on for details on my looks!
Chicago Outfits
I packed some of my favorite pieces like these Chanel ballet flats. I didn’t know how often I’d actually wear these but they are worn in high rotation and wish I had them in black, but the price went up by $75 and that pisses me off. Anyways, a classic ballet flat is on trend right now and if you like these, I bought them from @christinamadedoit who works at Neiman Marcus–so no extra fees or anything since you’re buying directly from the store. If you’re looking for something a lot more affordable, these Target ballet flats are great, I’ve tried them on and may get them in black.
I got a lot of questions on Instagram surprisingly on these sweatpants and I wore this for a quick donut run and wasn’t intending on wearing my pajamas out and about–they’re from Target and can’t find them but I have a ton of sweatpants from Target and you can’t go wrong. I added a similar trench like this one which is on sale! The Everlane blazer makes this look and I love this one so much I have it in black too. I added the Agolde 90s pinch jeans, Anine Bing hat and this Mango black bag which is the only bag I packed. So easy to be hands free and it’s super affordable. My necklace is a Clyde’s rebirth combo of this chain necklace and the zodiac pendant fro the SHUDIO. I wore this for my first in Chicago–I put on my Agolde baggy jeans (bought these last fall before I lost more weight and they’re too big, but I liked the look!) I added this Anderson belt, a white tee and the Zara cropped bomber jacket.
