ย I’ve been on the fence with trench coats for years, usually opting for non-traditional oversized styles, but this classic trench has been in high rotation this spring paired with super casual outfits for errands, brunch and work-from-home days. Everlane gifted this trench to me last year I believe and this is the first year I’ve been wearing it and I’m making up for lost time.

How I’m Styling My Trench
I can fully appreciate the trench coat silhouette with a hoodie to keep things cozy and chill (especially in chilly Michigan spring seasons!) I wear this Anine Bing hoodie on repeat and have it in two colors. This basic grey hoodie is a great option too and on sale, and in my cart.
I was pinning a lot of outfit with black crossbody bags like this paired with the trench, yet another super casual bag style that keeps me hands free and I gravitate towards something that looks more effortless here like the Pinterest photos I’ve been pinning (I also wore it with my new Celine Ava bag which feels like a sophisticated touch, but still casual.)
Sneakers pull it all together and I can’t get enough of a comfy sneaker style that pairs well with everything from jeans to leggings to joggers. I’ve been reaching for my Celine sneakers or these New Balance 550s sneakers (they sell out SO quick), both super comfortable and very little break-in was needed.ย Converse sneakers would be cool too or these white/cream Vejas.
