From cowhide to snakeskin to faux shearling to fringe, I’m rocking lots of texture all in a neutral palette that pretty much sums up my 2018 fall style.
Incorporating Cowhide
I styled this look all around my new cowhide bucket bag. I’ve been eyeing this bag for a month at Retail Therapy and local designer of Leah and Luella gifted me my choice of handcrafted bag, which was difficult since I love them all–but the bucket bag with these handles was too irresistible. The bag could go with anything, but I wanted a slouchy, cozy look for fall and went for my straight leg jeans, cream fringe sweater and an oversized faux sherpa coat with some snakeskin boots. Shop the Leah and Luella collection here or in person at Retail Therapy in Lansing’s Old Town neighborhood.
Shop Fall Staples
My intern wore this coat last week and naturally, I bought the exact coat the following day. The oversized faux fur jacket has been on my shopping list and I loved the price and the fit. I’m wearing extra small (size 2) and I’m 5’4″ 130 pounds if that helps! It’s from Princess Polly which is an Australian brand and was confused on sizing, but it worked out perfectly. Try code maggie20 for 20% off (worked for me!)
I’ve been itching for another pair of snakeskin booties and finally found the perfect pair last month. This Dolce Vita bootie is trendy but super comfortable and I think will stand the test of time. It was originally $150 and just $80 now.
I personally enjoy a beanie or any sort of hat this time of year. I skip hair washes and go right to a beanie! Snag one from Elodie Boutique (comes in multiple colors and super affordable!) Or shop a similar one from Target here in multiple colors.
