I’ve been wearing this top a lot lately–it’s just so cozy and for once, I’m loving this bold red color. I don’t think I have much of this in my closet, but once I tried this shirt on, I knew it was my new favorite hue to wear.
Neighborhood Jaunts
I wore this exact look a couple weekends ago in Old Town with Brooke–we realized Arctic Corner, my all-time favorite ice cream shop, reopened for the season and I snagged a cone. I lived just down the street from Arctic Corner a couple summers ago and I never had the strength to not get ice cream almost every day. I rotated between a butterfinger flurry or a sprinkle cone. I have such a sweet tooth.
Summer-Ready Outfit Formula
This look with shorts is probably how I’m going to get through summer. I’ve been waxing poetic for woven bags and hats, and those accessories paired with colorful tops, shorts and nude mules are my jam.
Elodie Boutique restocked this top, just $35 and they don’t have an online store yet, but shoot them a message on Facebook! I also love this peplum tee in red (and many other colors) on sale and under $15. If you want to get it on the front tie trend, this $24 tee comes in multiple colors and sports the tie detail! This tie front tee is a little more fitted and comes in olive, blush and ivory–I’m leaning towards this one as my fave tee version.
I love wearing mules in the summer because half the time, I want to cover my janky ass toes, but I love how the nude ones seem to elongate my short legs. I’m obsessed with these mules by Chinese Laundry with the almond toe shape (always a fave of mine.) I’m always a fan of Superga sneakers (I have a few platform versions!) and this mule version is so damn cute and seems like a dream to slip on. And these pretty slip on mules by Toms would be great to wear to work or more casually on the weekend–the versatile, everyday mule.
Sunglasses are also key–and I’m usually exclusively wearing Quay sunglasses. I typically scoop these up in person at Retail Therapy since she keeps her shop stocked with new styles. I just bought these 90s vibes round sunnies in black and want the gold ones too now! I also have these retro oval sunnies in white and they’re so hardy. I break most of my sunglasses so these plastic versions are perfect for traveling.
