I wore this look last Saturday with the goal of restyling something very similar for today’s work day in Detroit. I’ve always had a soft spot for anything leopard and graphic tees, and the pairing together was inspired by several similar street style looks. Leopard print is always a classic, but I can’t help but want to incorporate it more into my spring wardrobe.
Recreating the Look
The whole look came together thanks to a Banana Republic sale where I explored all the new leopard print pieces, like this precious jumpsuit, sleeveless maxi dress and then finally, I saw this midi skirt. I knew this would be perfect for spring/summer styling for client meetings and events, but also casual weekends like how I styled it for.
I snagged this graphic tee a few weeks ago and been wearing it with leggings, jeans and now skirts. It has a vintage feel and easy to tie up like this or just tuck into a pair of jeans.
And it’s instead of pretty heels, I love a platform oxford or slip-on like these platform sneaker slip-ons or Tretorn platform sneakers.
Health/Fitness Updates
Ever since my trip to Florida, I’ve been trying to eat better. Nothing crazy, but exerting some self-control to say no pizza and McDonald’s breakfast menu. I’m channeling a lot of energy towards this now so I wanted to share a quick update.
I always have a tough time following the holidays with over-indulging, but this year was worse. Normally by January, I’m ready to get back on track, but that motivation didn’t naturally return to me until a couple weeks ago. BUT I’m getting back on track with drinking more water, eating more balanced meals and being more intentional with eating. So before I eat or think I want to eat, I ask myself if I’m hungry or just bored. This internal conversation with myself usually starts around 7 p.m. after I’ve already eaten dinner and I’m ready to gorge on snacks and watch TV. I’m a nighttime snacker.
These tiny little shifts in eating better has helped my workouts improve too. I can push myself more when I’m hydrated and not filled with fries and cheese. I’ve been feeling more motivated with workouts too since officially becoming an instructor at FLEXcity Fitness. I always want to go to classes, but now I want to go to even more to observe/learn from other instructors.

That’s a gorgeous look! I’ve only been seeing animal print with more classy outfits but I love your edgy look, it looks great. And I totally relate to the eating things that we aren’t supposed to. but I’m hoping that now that the weather is warming up, I’ll drink more water and feel less the need of eating.
