I wore this yesterday. I always like wearing a vest when I have photo shoots for some reason. I spent my time yesterday and today photographing successful people in the mid-Michigan area for an education awareness campaign called Keep Learning. The photos will be placed on billboards which I’m completely thrilled about. I have dreamt about being on a billboard, but having the photos I took on them is even better! Dreams DO come true..

I braved the snowstorm and I drove to the metro Detroit area last night after work to do some shopping. I’ve been in a panic over what to wear to the Chictopia conference and it took almost 2.5 hours to get to Somerset, which is usually only an hour drive. Needless to say, I didn’t have long to shop, but I knew exactly what I wanted. I got in and out quickly. Phew.

As my coworkers and friends can tell, I love oversized tees and scarves. I have this tee in purple and started giving the color mint green more thought once I saw Taylor from Sterling Style show off her mint green nails. I just love her style. Anyways, that inspired me to go outside my normal colors of black and various shades of grey and try a nice pastel color. Thank you for the inspiration!

I was trying to save these and debut them in NYC..I just can’t. I love them too much and need them for all the snow we’re getting in Michigan.

    I LOVE your hair with the mint! So fresh…you could really pair that mint color with a lot of fun light denim/chambray and lace in the springtime ๐Ÿ™‚

    And I'm like that with new shoes/clothes. My mom would always say I needed to save my clothes and wear them for the occasion that I got them for (i.e. Spring Break, vacation) and I never can! I bought it today so why not where it today?! (Have you ever gone shopping to add-on to the outfit you wore to go shopping? Ugh, I do that too much..) Plus, with those boots, I bet you don't mind the snow so much! And it's good to break in shoes before debuting them in NYC! Can't wait to see pics of the conference!

    I agree with Sara that the perfect excuse for wearing the boots before your trip is the fact that you'll need to break them in. I've already "broken in" a couple of sweaters and skirts, before the trip to NYC.

    So jealous about the conference – you guys will have so much fun. I also really love your oversized knit scarf…it looks so warm and cozy, perfect for our snowy weather in Chicago.

    That scarf looks scrumptious! I'm so excited to see everyone in NYC and SO excited for sleepover times! If you got bangs we'd be like ying/yang hair twinsies! We'll have to get a picture side by side with our hair being enormous…

    i LOVE the scarf – i've been crocheting myself on forever, but keep getting sidetracked because of silly things like school…

    bdg makes the best pants – my favorite pair of skinny black jeans are by them, they're SO comfy

    good luck with the snow, here in cleveland they kept predicting it but we never really got more than 4 or 5 inches, which isn't so bad…
