I’ve recently challenged myself with doing slightly more with my eye make up. Typically, I just get a lash lift and tint, and sometimes I might add a layer of mascara on top of the tinted lashes. But last month I practiced liquid eyeliner and strip lashes plus a new lash growth serum. Read on for my top picks!
Eye Makeup Picks
I bought Anastasia Modern Renaissance eye shadow palette last year since I loved all the warm colors and thought they would be flattering on hazel eyes. And I haven’t used it much until the last month! I use a mix of the first six on the left, love the sienna and orange tones!
Benefit waterproof eyeliner is idiot proof and truly stays put ALL DAY. My eyelids are greasy which is why I usually skip make up on the lids all together but the liner doesn’t budget. It seems more like a marker and I’ve been putting it on about once a week, slowly improving my eye lining skills.
Dior Diorshow mascara has been my favorite for at least 10 years now. It doesn’t flake and makes my lashes look longer and the appearance of much more volume.
I’ve been playing around with natural strip lashes since I can no longer do lash extensions thanks to allergic reactions that suddenly appeared after having them for two years.
My problem has always been with the shitty glue that comes with them and I found Tarte Tarteist Pro lash adhesive in black which makes it look seamless! No white glue mess. I also cut the lash strips down so that the strip isn’t as long. I find it looks more natural and blend better if they’re not the full length of your eyelid. I’m wearing the strip lashes in the photo above with the eyeliner!
I’ve also been using Grande Lash lash serum. I’ve used Rodan & Fields in the past, which worked so well but super expensive. And Grande Lash is much more affordable and works almost as well.
The Elemis cleansing balm has been my new skincare product that I’ve been using for two months and swear by, especially for eye make up removal. The balm smells so good and gently removes make up and dirt from face, and easily melts mascara and eye make up away with scrubbing your face. Try the travel size first at $14 since the full size is a bit pricy, but once I tried it in travel size I was hooked and bought the full size!
