Incorporating My Favorite Color Trend this Fall/Winter

I styled this look for a trip to my hometown last week. I’ve been a style funk lately since my outfits usually revolve around a workout. I’ve been wearing leggings and sweatshirts to work when I have no in-person client meetings and sneak off for a noon workout and return a sweaty mess. This little trip home for a doctor’s appointment meant I could wear a real outfit.

Making the Most of the Rust Color Trend

I’m still digging the rust colors and of course, with every fall season, I gravitate towards classic camel tones. And I usually avoid matchy-matchy, but it just felt right this time.

My ass couldn’t fit in these jeans all summer long and these 90s style no-stretch denim finally fit again and so I styled them with an oversized sweatshirt tunic I grabbed in a size large. Billowy is always best, at least for me.

Anyways, I snagged this rust-colored teddy coat from Retail Therapy and I found a similar version for $128 at Nordstrom. For a more casual version, I’ll share with you what’s on my shopping list: this hooded faux fur jacket at Gap that’s 40% off.

If you’re looking to add in the color in smaller doses, accessories and shoes are a great option. This backpack has been incredibly functional and adds in a little pop of camel tones. These stylish wedge booties are a perfect fit and they’re waterproof! Or add in a little leopard print with these leopard calf hair mules.
