We all know I’m not adventurous when it comes to wearing a colorful wardrobe, but I’ve been drawn to reds and oranges the last couple summers. I paired this dress with leopard sandals, a Lack of Color hat and shorts hidden under the dress since it ended up being a little shorter on me than I’d prefer.
Shopping Orange for Summer
There are a ton of great orange options to shop like this orange tiered maxi dress, just $46 or the dress I’m wearing, wearing size small here and it’s only available in small, but you can get on the waitlist! I wish I would have ordered a medium, this is definitely a little short on me which is why I have denim shorts underneath! This shift dress is pretty similar to what I’m wearing now, but in more of a rust color and no ruffled sleeves. I also own this Amazon dress in an orange/red color and love it! I sized up to a medium.
If you’re looking for a simple tank, this adorable three button rib knit tank is on sale for $5 (and comes in other colors.) I also love this comfortable racerback swing tank for $29, great for everyday and layering, and comes in other colors.
How to Style the Color this Summer
I love pairing orange with neutrals like tans and if you’re feeling a little more bold, with a little leopard print like I did with the sandals. I typically style everything else more subtle and neutral so that the orange pops and is the statement piece in my outfit so I’d pair an orange top with denim shorts, white wide leg pants or a neutral color pair of linen pants.

Orange is not usually my go-to colour – it’s so hard to dress up nicely! I do love your dress though! 😀
