My dining nook is my favorite spot in the house. I spend a lot of time in this area to eat, work on my laptop and just catch up with friends with a beer or coffee.
And now that I’ve been in the house two years, I’ve finally gotten the itch to fully decorate for the season with pumpkins, gourds, apple spice candles and decor that warms up my home. I also wanted to add a little more interest to the wall in this space and I found the perfect plaid wallpaper that actually adds to the fall theme I’ve got going on!
Tabletop Decor
I love having one statement piece in the center of my dining table–whether it’s a bouquet of flowers or some fall-themed dried wheat! I added a couple small pumpkins and a gourd around the base to complete the look–and added a couple more pumpkins to the floating shelves to tie it in.
I also added one of my new red plaid napkins at the center of the table to complete the table decor. I have a set of these napkins that I plan to use for meals, but for now, one resting here adds more fall vibes along with the red plaid throw blanket I draped over one of the dining room chairs.
On the kitchen peninsula, I placed a large glass pumpkin (not pictured), but it’s just a simple way to tie in the fall theme from the dining room to the kitchen without overdoing it!
Fireplace Mantle Decor
I also added a couple gourds and one velvet pumpkin to my fireplace mantle and draped wooden leaf garland along the front–simple and easy!
Wallpaper installed by R.S. Improvements, wonderful local company to work with, my Lansing friends!
