Lots of good local shopping in the greater Lansing area! Sharing a few of my faves below:
Women’s Clothing
Of course my top pick is Retail Therapy and Celeste is retiring so the whole store is 25% off. Beautifully made clothing and jewelry and accessories, plus great gifts like candles and apothecary items. I love the small luxury items like Chan Luu bracelets, cashmere hats and socks. Located in Old Town!
Curvaceous for all your undergarment needs. I’m hoping to pop over there today and scoop up a tank top I’ve been eyeing. Also in Old Town.
Clever Clover in East Lansing is adorable too, plus they have candles, jewelry and other gifty items.
I don’t shop often at Grace’s or Polka Dots in Old Town, but absolutely worth shopping!
Home
Bradly’s Home and Garden is hands down my fave. It’s where I buy some of my furniture, decor items and gifts like candles, cookbooks or cocktail mixers. It’s a huge store and I could spend all day in here. Connected to Bradlys is their men’s clothing boutique Birch Rak.
October Moon is another great spot in Old Town–I buy a lot of gifts here from birthdays to baby showers. Plus, they include complementary wrapping.
Bridge and Main in Dewitt is an adorable shop, and they have a new plant shop next door I need to finally check out in person!
Aviator Jayne is in Owosso but worth the short drive to shop the most beautiful store. I’ve gotten so much of my home decor here and they just moved to a new space that looks incredible.
Bookstores
Hooray for local bookstores! We now have a Novel Concept downtown Lansing and Hooked, a bookstore/coffee shop/wine bar.
Coffee Shops and Wine
Love getting and receiving local coffee shop gift cards. My faves: Foster Coffee in East Lansing, Strange Matter in Lansing and Blue Owl (can find in East Lansing and Lansing.) Plus they have some merchandise and other items for sale in each which make great gifts for the coffee lovers in your life.
Grab a couple bottles of wine 10% off at Voyages. I’ve grabbed wine and some specialty food items here and hope to get there today.
Artists + Makers
Rayanne Barker is Grand Rapids based and her paintings are mesmerizing. I have one of her pieces and I treasure it.
GRAMMAR is a ceramic jewelry line based in East Lansing and the jewelry is perfect for gift-giving or treating yourself. I have a few pairs of earring and currently eyeing these square posts.
Clyde’s Rebirth is Chicago-based, but I’ve been buying her pieces for years, which are made from deadstock jewelry or recycled components. You can buy online and many other items from her store The SHUDIO. I have earrings, rings and necklaces from this line!
Debbie Carlos is such a talent and I love her ceramic goods–from mugs to bowls, they’re unique and such a statement while being usable for everyday.
For comics and whimsical art, check out Daniel Hogan’s work. His stuff makes me smile!
