My mom and I spent the afternoon last Saturday in Grand Haven and Spring Lake looking for antique malls and shops..while I acted out on hanger searching for the perfect breakfast spot at 1:30 p.m., which apparently is too late for breakfast/brunch foods in West Michigan. We finally settled on the Village Baker and convinced them to let us order off the breakfast menu. I sampled my mom’s quiche and I ate a stack of pancakes (and left with extra scones and muffins for my stepdad.) I found a few great items at an antique mall for my new dining table: oversized glass and brass candle holder and brass seashell bookends.
