Merl came to visit me this past weekend and besides our plans to tailgate at MSU (I even got her a MSU t-shirt so she’d be able to get into it more!) we spent some time on Saturday and Sunday shopping and thrifting for new decor for my empty and sad apartment. It’s so much easier to have Merl along with me when home shopping because she has such a vision and talent with interior decorating and if left to my own devices, my apartment would be just black leather and tv.
We spent a couple hours at the antique mega mall on Sunday and I picked up a pretty brass mirror, brass deer and fur collar. And then I spent the rest of the day weeping after she left, finding solace in cleaning my apartment, running errands and unintentionally watching football with Jack.
[thrifted CK jean jacket, Champion sweatshirt from Meijer, jeans by Levi’s, blue heels c/o MIA Shoes, bag by Marc Jacobs, sunglasses c/o Bonlook, watch from Fossil, blog initial rings c/o Catbird, skull ring by BCBG, leather bracelet c/o Brooklyn Bakery]
I spent almost the entire weekend in this sweatshirt I picked up from Meijer for 20 bucks. Best 20 dollars I’ve spent. I’ve been wearing it to bed the last four days and wearing it out to dinner, shopping and lounging around my apartment. For Sunday, I styled it with denim on denim, which was cozy and fitting for a nice fall Michigan day.
