A low key holiday weekend visiting the family, but mostly hanging out with James and cursing the man who power washed the house and ruined my cable connection.
Pere Marquette
My mom and I hit up Pere Marquette after meeting up with family she hasn’t seen in more than 20 years (and I don’t think I’ve even met some of them.) It was wonderful to meet my grandma’s siblings–I miss her and meeting them reminded me of her so much. After grabbing lunch with family, we wandered up and down the beach before grabbing an early dinner, and I headed back to Lansing.

I wore all my favorite dresses and off-the-shoulder tops this last weekend before we bid adieu to summer. I’m ready for fall weather and layers–this summer has been too hot for me, but I know I’ll regret saying this as soon as snowfall hits in November. BUT luckily, I’ll be hitting up the Bahamas in a couple weeks with my mom and I’ll be reminded of that hot heat and humidity I was just about escaping in Michigan.
