With my work’s annual dinner coming up tomorrow, I spent some time styling possible outfits and this one came out on top. I’ve been obsessive with planning every detail of this event, but I worry about all the things I can’t control. For whatever reason, having my outfit determined for this event has given me some relief. I can hear my mom telling me to stop worrying about things I can’t control, but my control freak nature doesn’t allow me to do that so easily!
Back to the real issues…Any suggestions on accessories? This is what I initially liked, but I’m considering a black heel and different jewelry.

I love that dress! But I agree that you should go with black heels, the red ones are great but I don't think they click with outfit and make it cohesive.

Great outfit! I'd probably wear some red jewelry – like a bubble red necklace, black tights with matching black pumps. Make that gold pop, lady!

Usually red shoes set off everything, but I think black shoes may be a little better here. Either way you're gonna look killer. X)

I think black shoes would be better and maybe do silver instead of gold jewelry? Mixing metals is my favorite right now

Andrea, I personally LOVE the red heel. I think it is a great pop of color to your simple classic look. In the michigan cold weather I might pair some black tights to make it look more dressed up… but your legs look hot so you don't need that ๐ Have a great time and hope everything goes well. You look gorg!

The outfit is so cute but I agree about wearing black heels instead of red ones. I think the jewelry you picked is fine – especially with how busy the dress is pattern-wise.

Absolutely love that dress!
I like how you paired it with red heels

I'd style it with the same necklace, but use your black pigalle heels, and keep a festive pop of red with your red crushed velvet chanel bag; it'll be a nice texture mix with your brocade dress and the strap will repeat your chain necklace here. ps that jacket is terrific.
