This month’s beauty edit is focused on skincare for dry ass winter skin. I’ve been struggling with flaky, dry skin and added a couple new products to the rotation while continuing to use a few favorites to combat the dry winter season.
An Intensive Overnight Mask
I asked the great folks who follow me on Instagram for recommendations and the most popular recommendation to help combat dry skin was the Origins Drink Up™ Intensive Overnight Hydrating Mask with Avocado & Swiss Glacier Water. I immediately bought it and use it twice a week now. It absorbs fully into the skin and when I wake up in the morning, my skin is noticeably more hydrated and smooth–less flaky dry skin.
Hydrating and Soothing Lip Balms
I just bought the Indie Lee lip treat in Nashville and instantly fell in love with the rich conditioning treatment. It somehow slightly exfoliates and softens your lips leaving them soft and hydrated. I also love Glossier’s $12 balm dot com in mint. I love anything with mint, even the Indie Lee lip treat is minty fresh.
Everyday Moisturizers
For that standby moisturizer, I love Kiehl’s ultra facial cream. It’s great for all types of skin, no fragrance and is a versatile product. I use it for moisturizing my face but I also use it with my cc cream to make it more dewy and light. I also use the Biossance squalane and omega repair cream. It’s thick, but not greasy and is a go-to product of mine in the winter.
A Serum/Oil Hybrid
I ordered Glossier’s Futuredew serum/oil because of the hype, and it lives up to the buzz. My skin is so dry and dull this time of the year and it adds a radiance and a dewy finish that’s otherwise impossible for my skin to achieve.
